Top 10 Azure Services in Demand

Microsoft Azure Services was initially launched in year 2008 but was commercially available from year 2010. Since recent few years, Azure app services demand got increased and as per current scenario around 90% of Fortune 500 companies are using Microsoft Azure Services. Being a cloud service provider, Azure provides all the services from creating the project repositories to manage the code, manage tasks, deploying and maintaining the services.

Azure provides support in more than 40+ regions and also provides more than 600 different services like a boss in Market. Here, I would like to mention top 10 popular services of year 2022 with some of its brief introduction.

1. Azure DevOps

Azure DevOps is the most well-known service amongst all others. It is most reliable & smart tool to manage the projects, testing and deploying the code using CI/CD. For now, Azure DevOps is a full package of other Azure Services such as Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Boards, Azure Test Plans and Azure Artifacts services.

2. Azure Virtual Machines

A virtual machine is nothing but similar environment like physical computer. Microsoft provides creating VM with Windows and Linux OS as per your requirements. Azure provides creation of VMs like Compute-Optimized VMs, Memory Optimized VMs, Burstable VMs, and Compute Optimized VMs. Each VM has its own virtual hardware along with specification according to selected plan.

Ultimately, this is designed to add image or documents to browser, also it will write log files. As it is a storage and it provides streaming media files as well. Also, it can be used to backup and restore the backup files of database.

Azure Active Directory provides user credentials for users logging in and it also used to manage authentication and authorization for any system from any location. It helps the employees of the organization to access resources from both external and internal resources.

5. Azure Cosmos DB

A fully managed NoSQL database service by Azure. Cosmos DB tries to provide response to the queries with quicker response time and also used to manage large storage databases with guaranteed speed at any scale. Cosmos DB stores the data in json documents format, and provides API endpoints to manage those documents through SDK.

6. Logic Apps

Azure Logic Apps are gaining popularity nowadays in slow manner but it is still a powerful integration solution for few applications. It will help to connect apps, data and devices from any location which actually helps almost all type of B2B operations to be done in most efficient manner through Electronic Data Interchange Standards.

7. Azure Data Factory

It takes data as an input from various resources and automates data transmission through various pipelines. Based on the processing, output can be published to Azure Data Lake to use the output for Business Analytics Applications. So, Data Factory is one of the Azure Service which actually does not store the data but utilizes computing to monitor the workflows and make the data analysis in better way.

8. Azure CDN

This service has resolved the issues of most Enterprises by providing data protection and solution to reduce some human-errors. Used to backup SQL workloads as well as Azure VMs. This provides consistent backup for any apps with unlimited data transfer and multiple storage options. Scalability to store and manage the data backups, is one of the issues which has been resolved in this service.

10. Azure API Management

This helps user in managing and publishing the web APIs in just few clicks. API management provides protection to all the APIs with help of filters, tokens and keys which allows a developer to be freed up from different security level issues. It also provides an access to Microservices Architecture through APIs. Consumer based user model provides automatic scaling and high availability, which is one of feature of this service.
